National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire

I consider myself very fortunate to live in close proximity of the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. These are some of photographs taken on my recent visit.

Opening Times

The Arboretum is open every day except Christmas Day between 9am and 5pm.

During the winter months the Arboretum grounds close at dusk.

The visitor centre remains open until 5pm.

During the summer months last admission to the Arboretum is 4.30pm (unless otherwise stated).

You can visit the Arboretum free of charge.

Donations are appreciated to help with the maintenance and upkeep of the site.

Visitors arriving independently by car should be aware that a maximum parking charge of £3.00 per day applies (pay and display) with lower prices applying for half a day and during winter months. There is no charge for coaches or motorcycles.

All monies from parking fees are given directly to the charity and help to ensure the Arboretum remains a free entry site.

The Arboretum is home to some many moving and unusual memorials, many of which are visible from the Visitor Centre.

The memorials fall into several categories:

    * Military
    * Civil Services (Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance)
    * Charities
    * Local organisations
    * Overseas organisations

 If you are in or near to South Staffordshire, the Arboretum is well worth a visit
